Rutherford Swim Association provides private and group swimming lessons from the ages of 3 years to 17 years old. ISR lessons are available for children under the age of 3.
Our instructors are fully American Red Cross and Water Safety Instructor certified and are ready to service your children!

Group Lessons: $235 for 8, thirty minute sessions (3-5 students: 1 Instructor)

Private Lesson: $385 (1:1) 8, thirty-minute sessions

The Spring session commences on March 3rd. The upcoming schedules for group lessons and private lessons are below, these are subject to change.
Registration for our Summer sessions opened in May 2026. Our group & private class options for Summer 2026 will meet each weekday, Monday - Thursday, for two weeks.

GROUP LESSON
We are pleased to introduce our Director of Adult Swim Instruction Brian Fagan.
Brian started with Rutherford Swim Association October of 2019.
Brian Fagan has over twenty years of experience coaching and teaching swimming- his students have included from very young age group swimmers to top tier Ironman triathletes with U.S. Masters, YMCAs and Goldfish Swim School.
Brian attended Plainview High School and Rider University.

Brian will be running adult swim classes and will be part of the Rutherford Masters Team.
Anyone interested in taking Adult private Swim Lessons.
The cost of lessons is $80 per 50 minute lesson or a package of 6 lessons for $440!

ISR SWIM LESSON INFO
We are very excited to announce the introduction of Infant Swimming Resource (ISR) program. The program commenced in March 2022 and is led by Lisa Vartanian, a certified ISR Instructor.
Lisa Vartanian is a devoted educator working in the field since 2000. Before becoming an ISR instructor, Lisa was an ISR parent amazed by the program and wanting her children to acquire the ISR based skills. As a result, she ultimately accepted the opportunity to make a difference in children’s lives through steadfast dedication to the ISR program and its students. She has taught well over 1,000 students in New Jersey. In addition, Lisa holds certifications as a Water Safety Instructor through the Red Cross, BLS, First Aid and CPR for Infant/Children/Adult.
As a mother of five, all of her children went through the ISR program. Lisa is a firm believer in the program's importance in a child’s life and swimming development. In her own words, she has stated that, "it is an honor knowing I have the opportunity to enrich the lives of all those I teach. I will always give all my students and their families 100% despite any challenges that may arise. Be it through flexible scheduling, adapting to personality differences, or deciphering the needs of each child to better educate them, no obstacle can deter me in my mission to educate. NOT ONE MORE CHILD DROWNS."
